Captain Miller: Dhanush goes on assault in new poster ahead of teaser launch

Captain Miller teaser will be launched on July 28 on the occasion of Dhanush's birthday. The Arun Matheshwaran directorial is touted to be a period-action drama set before Independence. The movie has stoked excitement among fans for Dhanush's rugged and never-seen-before avatar. The makers revealed a new poster marking the teaser reveal countdown.

Captain Miller poster: Dhanush on kill mode
The promotional material and media reports had pegged Captain Miller as a violent action film. This has been reinforced in the film's new poster in which Dhanush holds an assault rifle and goes on a complete onslaught. Behind the character, the frame was packed with bodies and the setting resembled a war.

Dhanush sported long hair tied in a bun and the character's signature heavy beard. The gritty and dark tone of the character came through in the new poster that the team shared on social media on Wednesday.
Dhanush has a packed year
Apart from Captain Miller, Dhanush will be juggling several projects this year. On the ten-year anniversary of Raanjhanaa, the Tamil actor announced another film with Aanand L Rai. Titled Tere Ishk Mein, the movie is expected to go on the floors this year.
Dhanush will be returning to the director's chair with D50. The actor made his directorial debut with the 2017 comedy-drama Pa Paandi which earned him several accolades. D50, which will reportedly be a gangster drama, will also star SJ Suryah and Vishnu Vishal as parallel leads.
