Dhanush teams up with Sekhar Kammula for D51, shares poster ahead of birthday

Ahead of Dhanush's 40th birthday, the makers have announced a pan-India film helmed by Sekhar Kammula. The film marks the first collaboration between the actor and director. The project has been tentatively titled D51.

Dhanush to feature in a never before seen avatar

On the eve of the National award-winner's birthday, the makers announced D51, which will feature Dhanush in a new look. They also shared a concept poster featuring a bundle of old hundred rupee notes with some tall and under-constructed buildings in the background.

The film will be mounted on a grand scale in multiple languages -  Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. It will be produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under their production house Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP (A Unit Of Asian Group), in association with Amigos Creations Pvt Ltd. Sonali Narang will present the movie.

Who will feature in D51?

The makers are in talks with some very big names to be part of D51. The details of the other cast and technical crew will be announced soon.

Dhanush starrer Captain Miller's look to unveil on July 28

Dhanush is gearing up for his next Captain Miller. Helmed by Arun Matheswaran, the movie also stars Shiva Rajkumar, Sundeep Kishan, Priyanka Arul Mohan, and John Kokken in pivotal roles. On the occasion of the actor's birthday, the makers will unveil his look around 12 am.

Produced by Sendhil and Arjun Thyagarajan under the banner Sathya Jyothi Films, the historical action-adventure drama is scheduled to hit the theatres this year. The makers are yet to announce the film's release date.
