Nelson Dilipkumar pens note of gratitude to Rajinikanth following Jailer success

Nelson Dilipkumar's directorial Jailer has become one of the highest-grossing films of the year. With more than ₹500 crore in worldwide collection, the Rajinikanth starrer has shattered several box-office records. On September 11, the filmmaker took to his Instagram account to pen a long note for all those responsible for the film’s success. Mentioning Thalivar, he wrote, “ Your phenomenon has pushed boundaries..” The director’s post is doing rounds on social media.

Nelson Dilikumar credits Rajnikanth for Jailer’s success 

In his long note, Nelson made a special mention of the lead star of his movie. Expressing gratitude to Rajinikanth he wrote, “Superstar Rajinikanth sir thank you so much for the opportunity. Your energy, commitment, dedication, passion, simplicity and humbleness have always been a learning experience for me and the whole crew.”

He continued by noting that it was the actor’s ‘phenomena’ that helped the film push boundaries. He concluded, “Your phenomenon has pushed boundaries, broken records and made Jailer a tremendous success. I shall cherish this to be one of the most treasured experiences of my life. (sic)”

The director began his note by expressing ‘heartfelt gratitude’ to the press, media, distributors and exhibitors for making Jailer a successful film. He then went on to thank the cast of the movie by writing “Tamannaah ji I feel so humbled by your magnanimity in accepting the role. We had a wonderful time working with you. Mohanlal sir, Shiva Rajkumar sir, Jackie Shroff sir I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your presence has elevated Jailer to greater heights.”

In the long note, he did not forget to mention Anirudh, whose music became a talking point of the film. The Beast director mentioned, “Rockstar Anirudh, you have always given me your love and unwavering support. Your music is the soul of Jailer. Thank you so much. Keep rocking and keep inspiring!!" 

Jailer is only the fourth film directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The film has become the highest-grossing movie of his career. His previous films Kolamaavu Kokila (2018), Doctor (2021) and Beast (2021) also garnered a decent business at the box office.
