Prabhas on working with Deepika Padukone in Kalki 2898 AD: She's just vibrant when...

Kalki 2898 AD is an upcoming sci-fi genre film starring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone in pivotal roles. The cast was recently at the San Diego Comic Con festival and Prabhas was all praises about his co-star. Here's what he said:

“She’s so vibrant on the sets”

In an interview with ScreenRant, Prabhas praised Deepika for her energy on the sets. He said, “she's just vibrant when she comes into the set, and I always loved her.” Prabhas also sounded in complete awe of Padukone’s global reputation which she has built over the years thanks to her work in Hollywood with actors like Van Diesel as well as global endorsements for big brands such as Louis Vuitton and TAM ADex. He added, “I think she is doing the biggest international commercials.”

Prabhas also said that he had always wanted to work with her. It must be noted that Prabhas had become a household name across the country in 2015 with his performance in Baahubali: The Beginning. Meanwhile, 2015 was the same year when Deepika Padukone too consolidated her position as the leading actress of Bollywood with films like Piku, Tamasha and Bajirao Mastani all in the same year. 

Kalki 2898 AD made on a budget of 600 cr?

2898 AD, earlier titled as Project K, had garnered a lot of buzz a few weeks ago with its trailer launch. Additionally, it also received a grand launch at a popular global platform like the San Diego Comic Con festival. The film particularly drew attention from fans for its visuals which matched the ambitious looks of popular Hollywood films like Dune and Blade Runner 2049.

Along with Prabhas, Kamal Haasan  and Deepika Padukone, the film also stars Amitabh Bachchan in its lead cast. It's noteworthy that Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan are working together in a film after 38 years. Made on a budget of reportedly almost 600 crores, Kalki 2898 AD promises to be a big-screen spectacle on the lines of the Baahubali franchise. The film is slated to release on January 12, 2024.
