Sai Dharam Tej asks fans to prioritise their safety

Sai Dharam Tej recently took to his Twitter handle to share a long note stating that fans should put their safety first while celebrating the release of Bro in theatres. This statement came days after two of Suriya's fans died of electrocution while they were upholding banners on his birthday. After expressing gratitude, Sai wrote, "As you take pride in this prestigious project #BroTheAvatar & celebrate our film, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the efforts you've put into promoting and celebrating it."

The actor further added that the passion and enthusiasm fans have shown him has taken his film to great heights. After thanking fans for their constant support, he wrote, "My humble request to all the fans is to please be cautious and responsible during the process of upholding the banners and cut-outs. Your safety means the world to me, and cannot bear the thought of any harm coming your way in the excitement of celebrations. Your love and support are invaluable, but your safety and well-being are even more."

What happened to Suriya's fans?

Two of Suriya's fans, who were undergraduates, took the initiative to put up banners on his birthday. Tragically, an iron rod of the flexi came in contact with an electric wire overhead and both the boys died on the spot due to electrocution. Soon after this incident occurred, Suriya contacted their families and promised them help.
