Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo is lined up for release next month. The Lokesh Kanagaraj film is set for its theatrical debut on October 19. Anticipation for the film is sky-high and it has already sold over 18,000 tickets in advance bookings in UK, as per Ahimsa Entertainment. Now, the makers have revealed some good news for the fans of Vijay in UK.

3 things you need to know:

  • Leo is said to be a part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe.
  • Sanjay Dutt will play the role of the antagonist Antony Das.
  • Trisha Krishnan and Vijay will share the screen space after 14 years in Leo.

Leo 12A rated version to release in UK

The uncensored or no-cuts version of the Thalapathy Vijay film will release in the UK. Ahimsa Entertainment, who are distributing the film abroad, shared the update on X (previously known as Twitter). The post read, “Out of respect for Lokesh Kanagaraj’s vision, we’re committing to NO CUTS for Leo’s UK release.” They added that every frame of the film is essential and experiencing the film whole is what the audience deserves.

18,000+ tickets sold for Leo

Thalapathy Vijay's Leo was recently opened for advance bookings in 120 locations in the United Kingdom. The film has ended up making a record with its advance ticket sales. It has sold more than 18,000 tickets in advance, minting almost £200k at the United Kingdom box office.

The tickets were made available 42 days before the film's release. This is not unusual for the film since Lokesh Kanagaraj's previous outing Vikram, which featured Kamal Haasan, Fahadh Faasil and Vijay Sethupathi, also received commercial acclaim in UK and worldwide. The Thalapathy Vijay starrer is also expected to be a part of the LCU (Lokesh Cinematic Universe) and will reportedly take place after the events of Vikram (2022).
