The Indian television provided us with some of the scariest horror shows. Here is a list of a few shows that will take every 90s kid down the memory lane.
Besides popular daily soaps and comedy shows that give us doses of laughter every day, Indian national television has also scared us with some scary horror shows, especially in the 90s. The flying pieces of furniture, the disfigured bodies, and those cakey makeup look made us sit back on the couch and cuff hard on our blankets in fear. Here are five best old horror shows that every 90s kids will remember.
Aahat
One of the most popular horror series of old times created by B.P.Singh. It was aired on Sony Entertainment Television. The show premiered on October 12, 1995. It is known to be one of the longest-running horror shows on Indian television. The sixth season of the show premiered in February 2015. It was widely watched and gained a lot of popularity during the time it was premiered.
Zee Horror Show
The show was directed by Ramsay Brothers and aired on Zee TV for almost five years. The show became one of the most popular horror shows in the ’90s. Javed Khan, Ajinkya Deo and Archana Puran Singh were part of the show. It aired in the year 1993.
Ssshhh...Koi Hai
It was an Indian thriller anthology series created by Cinevistass Ltd and Contiloe Entertainment. The show aired on Star Plus and was premiered on Indian television on July 27, 2001, and ran for three seasons ending on May 16, 2010. It is known to be one of the most commercially successful horror shows of Indian television.
Fear Files…Darr Ki Sachi Tasvirein
The show aired on Zee TV between June 30, 2012, to August 17, 2014. It was divided into two seasons. Every episode has a new story about any supernatural activity. The cast includes Rahul Verma Rajput, Sheetal Dabholkar, and Sameer Dharmadhikari.
Woh
Woh was an Indian television horror-thriller series that aired on Zee TV. It was premiered in 1998 and there were 52 episodes of the whole series. The series starred Ashutosh Gowariker in a crucial role. The series had Shreyas Talpade as a child artist. The show was about an evil spirit called Woh who created menace in the city of Panchgani by kidnapping children and killing them.
