The audience was left stunned after watching HBO documentary Who Killed Garrett Phillips?. Many netizens have been talking about the documentary on social media since it aired on Sky Crime on October 20. The documentary is based on the true murder of a 12-year-old named Garrett Phillips who was killed at his home in Potsdam, a town in St. Lawrence County, New York. The two-part true crime documentary examines the years following the 2011 murder of the youngster and the subsequent trial of Clarkson University soccer coach Oral 'Nick' Hillary.
Documentary gets stunning reception
As per reports, Nick is a black in a majorly white community and also an ex-boyfriend of the deceased's mum Tandy Cyrus who became the suspect of the murder. Who Killed Garrett Phillips? delves into how Nick was linked to the crime without any evidence or fingerprint. The first two episodes of the documentary have left people speechless. After being aired, the documentary has earned a 100 per cent critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes, along with 7.5/10 on IMDb. There was a flood of reviews on sites in the documentary.
