Dance Plus is a dance reality show that airs on Star Plus which is now coming up with season 5. The first season of Dance Plus was aired in 2015. Raghav Juyal has been hosting since the first season, mentors Shakti Mohan and Dharmesh have also been a part of the show since season 1. Punit Pathak replaced Sumeet Nagdev in the second season. The super judge of this reality show is Remo D’Souza. Here is an overview of all the seasons of Dance Plus.
Season 1 :
The season 1 of Dance Plus was aired in 2015 and gave space to many dancers from across the country, to show their talents. All the participants, group dancers, duo dancers or solo dancers were divided into three groups and put under one mentor amongst the three. The winner of the first season was from Team Dharmesh, the dance group 'V company'.
Season 2:
This season which aired in 2017, introduced with a new mentor, Punit Pathak who replaced, Sumeet Nagdev on the show. The winner of this season was a solo performer from Jalgaon, Maharashtra, Tanay Malhara. He was also from mentor Dharmesh's team.
Season 3:
In season 3 which aired in 2017, Bollywood stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar had made guest appearances on the show. The winner of this season was Bir Radha Sherpa from Silchar, Assam. Known for his flips and unique dance form, Bir Radha Sherpa was from mentor Punit’s team.
Season 4:
This season was aired last year and went on for four long months. The winner of this season was from Pune, Maharashtra, Chetan Salunkhe who chose the popping style of dancing. While instantly becoming the favourite of the audience, Chetan Salunkhe was mentored by Punit Pathak.
Season 5:
With the auditions for season 5 of Dance Plus have already begun in various cities. The third round for the audition will be aired on the television and the participants will be divided into three groups. While super judge Remo D’Souza has been sharing images and short clips of the upcoming season, the audience cannot wait for the show to begin.
