One of the well-known Halloween tradition has evidently been watching horror movies. During the spooky festival, people are often on a lookout to find the best horror movies to binge-watch to get some chills and thrills. People also reportedly love to get easy access to the films they wish to watch on-the-go. Several OTT platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video have enabled people to consume entertainment whenever they wish to. Here are some of the best horror films to watch on Amazon Prime Video this Halloween.
The Exorcist (1973)
The 1973 classic horror film The Exorcist is reportedly considered to be the film that kickstarted commercial horror films. Many modern-era horror films reportedly drove inspiration from this film. Director William Friedkin showcases the story of an innocent girl trapped by evil spirits. The film has an IMDB score of 8.0.
Brightburn (2019)
James Gunn, the director of Hollywood superhits like the Guardians Of The Galaxy franchise produced this small budget indie horror film. The film was a twisted take at the origin story of Superman. A young boy of an alien species is raised on earth and grows up to realise that he has superpowers. This premise is similar to the origin story of Superman and the film also draws some references to the comic-book character. But, the film takes a dark and horrific turn when the protagonist turns evil and goes on a killing spree.
A Quiet Place (2018)
The famous star-couple Emily Blunt and John Krasinski starred in this horror flick. The film was also John Krasinski's directorial debut. The horror film revolved around a family forced to live in silence as monsters who hunt to the sound of things are on the loose in a post-apocalyptic backdrop. This film keeps the audience at the edge of their seats as the tension and the scares are silent rather than the usual loud jump scares in a horror film.
