Indian Idol 11: Nidhi Kumari's soulful voice brings her to top 15

Nidhi Kumari found her way to the top 15 contestants of the season 11 of Indian Idol. The singer had reportedly previously tried to get into the reality show back in 2016, but she was eliminated in the final audition. Even after being eliminated back in 2016, Nidhi reportedly didn't lose her spirit and worked towards making a big splash in the future seasons of Indian Idol. The judges of the current season, Neha Kakkar, Anu Malik, and Vishal Dadlani, have evidently loved her singing and handed her the golden mic given to the top 15 contestants.

Nidhi is originally from Jharkhand. Her father, Sanjay Kumar, is an officer in the railway department. She has completed her studies from the central university of Chakradharpur and has an Arts degree. As of now, Nidhi is pursuing singing studies from Jamshedpur women's college.
Nidhi's journey to top 15
Nidhi appeared in her first audition for Indian Idol in Jamshedpur. After getting selected in her first audition, she featured for a second and a third audition in Kolkata. After receiving a golden ticket in Kolkata, Nidhi gave two more auditions in Mumbai to reach the super 60 contestants. In the seventh round, Nidhi received a golden mic from the judges and reached the top 15 list of contestants. As a loving gesture, Nidhi gifted the golden mic to her parents.
