Sumbul Touqeer is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming show Kavya- Ek Jazbaa, Ek Junoon. The Imlie actress will be seen as an IAS officer in the show. Recently, the makers unveiled its first promo.

Sumbul Touqeer's convincing portrayal of IAS officer

The promo introduces viewers to Sumbul Touqeer's character Kavya as a young girl. She is crying as her parents are denied justice. The narrative then fast-forwards to Kavya as a grown-up woman, who is now an IAS officer. As she moves towards her office, a young girl cries to meet her but Kavya's bodyguards stop her.

However, Kavya gives them an earful and attentively listens to the young girl's plea for justice. The promo showcases a compelling and convincing portrayal of an IAS officer by Sumbul.

Why Sumbul Touqeer said yes to the show?

Sumbul Touqeer said that she was drawn to the Kavya- Ek Jazbaa Ek Junoon's progressive and relatable storyline. She stated that her character Kavya's determination to assist the common people resonated with her which prompted her to be a part of this unique tale.

Despite hailing from a middle-class family, Kavya dreams big and possesses the tenacity to overcome various challenges in her path to achieve her ambition of becoming an IAS officer. Sumbul said that her belief in the strength of this narrative led her to accept the role with enthusiasm.

Reportedly, Mishkat Varma will be seen playing the main lead opposite Sumbul in the show. As fans eagerly anticipate the onscreen chemistry between the lead actors, the show's premiere date and time are yet to be announced.
