Koena Mitra hits back at claims of her being a 'weak contestant'

Actor and model Koena Mitra has been eliminated from the latest season of Bigg Boss 13 on Sunday. Following no elimination last week, Bigg Boss 13 host Salman Khan revealed that there will be a double eviction this week. Daljit Kaur was eliminated from the house on Saturday, however, there was one more eviction due. On Sunday, Koena was eliminated, while both Rashami Desai and Shehnaaz Gill, who were also nominated this week, stayed back in the house.

On Saturday, the television channel that broadcasts Bigg Boss 13 tweeted about Koena, asking the fans if she was a weak contender. However, fans jumped to Koena’s support and said that she is one of the strongest contestants in the house. Needless to say that after the news of her elimination was revealed, fans were not happy with the decision. Netizens took to Twitter to show support to the actor. When Koena came across the tweet by the channel, she quickly hit back. In the tweet, she called herself ‘strong, fearless and fierce’. She further added that the people currently in the Bigg Boss house were "weak".

While it is reported that Koena was eliminated from the show due to the lack of votes, it is alleged that the real reason behind her elimination is completely different. Fans were quick to notice that Mitra was playing well since day one, she has a fair share of tiffs with the fellow contestants and was quite popular in the house. The news of her elimination has hence made the fans question the decision. It is alleged that Koena Mitra and Salman Khan got into a fight during the weekend episode. Though it wasn’t shown on television, many gossip websites reported that Salman and Koena had a huge argument.

After her eviction from Bigg Boss 13, fans took to Twitter to say that they will miss her in the show. Messages about Koena being a good person and a dignified contestant have started popping up on Twitter. Many fans have called the show ‘disappointing’ for being extremely bias towards a few contestants. Bigg Boss 13 airs on Colours TV at 10:30 pm on weekdays, however, one can also watch the unseen footages on Voot's official website and the Voot app.
