Mouni Roy's evolution in the daily soap Naagin over the last 3 seasons

Mouni Roy started her career in 2007 with Ekta Kapoor's TV show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and since then has seen many ups and downs in her 11-year television career. However, today Mouni is one of the most famous TV actors, and she also has appeared in multiple Bollywood films. One of her famous daily soaps is Naagin which she began filming for in the year 2015. Mouni Roy played the character of Shivanya, where she and her cousin Shesha are female shape-shifting serpents who want to avenge Shivanya's parents' death. There were five murderers, but Shivanya was able to see only three of them: Ankush, Viren, and Shailesh. They killed Shivanya's parents in a failed attempt to obtain a precious gem with magical powers called Naagmani. As part of her revenge, Shivanya enters into Ankush’s house as a maiden and somehow falls in love with Ankush’s son. After winning the hearts of the family, both the sisters start killing the murderers, and one of the family members create enmity among the two sisters. With all the ups and downs the season ends with Shivanya getting pregnant.

In the second season, Mouni Roy plays a dual role for the first half as she gives birth to a girl who grows up to be her look alike. Shivanya does not want Shivangi to become a serpent to protect the Naagmani. Shivanya meets a saint who tells her to get Shivangi married before the age of 25 as then she will not become a serpent. Shivangi meets Rocky and they both fall in love with each other. They plan to get married but many people are killed even Shivangi’s mother.

After a few days, Shivangi goes on a hunt just like her mother had in the first season to find the murderers. But in the process of all this, Shivangi is killed and the season ends with this. All questions were answered in the third season of Naagin, where Mouni Roy returns as a Maha Naagrani as she is seen playing a cameo in the series. Mouni Roy played a short yet powerful role in the series.
