Anu Malik to be dropped from Indian Idol 11?
Anu Malik will reportedly be replaced on the latest season of Indian Idol, following accusations faced by the singer. According to a report by a leading daily, Anu Malik will be asked to leave the show within the next few weeks. Got to give it to @sonamohapatra and @nehabhasin4u for including her important voice this time. https://t.co/uVWHsRd0vA
Anu Malik was accused of sexual misconduct by Sona Mohapatra. In a tweet on her official Twitter handle, she spoke about his behaviour on the sets of Indian Idol. She also tweeted about how she was asked to leave the show after she spoke up about the incident. According to the tweet, she was asked to leave because her allegations “took up the TRPs of our ‘rival’ show”. Following this, singer Neha Bhasin also tweeted about her bitter experience with Anu Malik.
I agee with you. We do live in a very sexist world. Anu Malik is a predetor, i too have run away from his strange moves when i was 21. I didn't let myself get into a sticky situation beyond him lying on a sofa in front of me talking about my eyes in a studio. I fleed lying https://t.co/tQgStLrYyT

It takes only a Nirbhaya level tragedy for #India to wake up? Few days after these👇🏾,I was asked to leave my judge seat. My co-judge told me,the publicity I provided to Anu Malik took up the trps of our ‘rival’ show. (?!) A year later,a sexual predator is back on the same seat. pic.twitter.com/HFaLCOAXzZ

Twitter has been furious about the singer being on the judging panel of Indian Idol 11 even after the #MeToo allegations against him. The pressure is reportedly what led to his removal. Here is how Twitter has been reacting.
Hey @sonamohapatra I just don’t understand what they think of them?self #AnuMalik I mean harassing a girl sexually after having a daughter.heshould be ashamed of himself @SonyTV should take some strict action against this because to show viewers they have some ethicalstandards https://t.co/CWnvUkdlIE

If you are ok to sit next to a sexual predator like #AnuMalik to make money, you have no moral high ground...😏 https://t.co/eXD6R3b97Z

Seems like all the men who were outed during #MeToo last year are back in business. Of course they have been acquitted of their charges by committees led by their well wishers. All the courage mustered by women going down the drain.
