Seeing two female actors showcasing their breathtaking dance moves is a sight that Hindi cinema lovers witnessed, courtesy Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Be it ‘Devdas’ ‘Dola Re Dola’ or ‘Bajirao Mastani’s ‘Pinga’, the grace of the ladies, choreography and music all worked in tandem to give these songs iconic status. But what happens when one star from the former and one from the latter come together and they dance to both these tracks? A visual delight. Madhuri Dixit Nene and Priyanka Chopra set the stage on fire with their performance on the recent episode of a reality show.
Priyanka Chopra, along with the team of ‘The Sky is Pink’ made an appearance on the reality show ‘Dance Deewane’ to promote the film. Dressed in beautiful sarees, Madhuri and Priyanka, showcased outstanding co-ordination, superb lip-syncing and amazing smiles, while gracefully enacting the moves.Their performance brought the entire studio to its feet as Madhuri’s co-judges Shashank Khaitan and Tushar Kalia gave the duo a standing ovation. Quite a sight, we must say! We would hope some day, their respective co-stars of those songs, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Deepika Padukone, also have a similar performance or an act where all the four dance would be magical if it ever happens. Madhuri had proved again that she is the queen of dance in the track ‘Tabaah Ho Gaye’ from ‘Kalank’ earlier this year. Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra is making her comeback in Bollywood, with ‘The Sky is Pink’, that is gearing up for release on October 11. The movie, also starring Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf, is based on the story of Aisha Chaudhary, who had taken up motivational speaking after she was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. The story also traces the love story of Priyanka-Farhan's characters and the family equations.
‘The Sky is Pink’ is directed by Shonali Bose, who had previously directed the critically acclaimed ‘Margarita in a Straw’ starring Kalki Koechlin, Sayani Gupta. ‘The Sky is Pink’ has been produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur. Priyanka Chopra is one of the producers of the movie. This is her first production in Hindi after multiple regional productions.
