Mere Dad Ki Dulhan breaking taboos
Mere Dad Ki Dulhan is a new daily soap that airs on Sony. With a very unconventional theme, the show is expected to be addressing a tabooed issue in Indian society. The cast of the daily soap includes Shweta Tiwari and Varun Badola in the lead roles. Also starring in Mere Dad Ki Dulhan is Anjali Tatrari who plays the role of Varun Badola's daughter.
Working on a similar line as Patiala Babes, Mere Dad Ki Dulhan, is about a father-daughter duo. Understanding that her father (Varun Badola) has his moments of loneliness after her mother's death, the daughter (Anjali Tatraria) decides to find a partner (Shweta Tiwari) for him. The theme has not been explored much before as well. The father-daughter equation is also unique in the show which is more down the line of friendship rather than a parental bond.
The three meet under a unique circumstance when Shweta Tiwari's character bangs her car into the car belonging to Varun Badola's character. Knowing that she cannot go to America leaving her father companionless, Anjali's character starts playing matchmaker for her father and the stranger woman. This is how the story moves forward.
