Sonakshi Sinha's quirky reply to her know-it-all trolls & their memes

When the members of one’s house are named after characters from the ‘Ramayana’, can one not know the answer of a ‘simple’ question from the epic mythology? That was the story of Sonakshi Sinha after she took a lifeline to answer a question from ‘Ramayana’ on the Amitabh Bachchan-hosted ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. Sonakshi, within minutes, went to the top of the trends on Twitter for her 'lack of knowledge.' Not just that, netizens came up with memes galore and even compared her to Alia Bhatt’s ‘Koffee with Karan’ gaffe (she had called answered President of India as Prithviraj Chauhan). Sonakshi Sinha, however, had a hilarious response to the ‘jaage hue trolls’ who delivered to her instant social media stardom. The actress said that she also doesn’t remember terms from Mathematics and Literature like Pythagoras Theorem, ‘Merchant of Venice’ and asked the Twitteratti to make memes on them too since she loves memes.

Sonakshi Sinha hits back  

Taking to Twitter less than 24 hours after ‘enjoying’ pole position on Twitter trends, Sonakshi Sinha tweeted, “Dear jaage hue trolls.I don't even remember the Pythagoras theorem,Merchant of Venice,Periodic Table,Chronology of the Mughal Dynasty,aur kya kya yaad nahi woh bhi yaad nahi. Agar aapke paas koi kaam nahi aur Itna time hai toh please yeh sab pe bhi memes banao na. I love memes.”

Why Sonakshi Sinha became a target of trolls 

Sonakshi had accompanied a contestant on the ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ episode on Friday, who was asked, “According to Ramayana, Hanuman fetched the Sanjeevani buti (herb) for whom?" The options given to her were Sugriva, Lakshmana, Sita and Rama. The actress felt that the answer could be Rama, Sita, before taking the 'Expert Advice' to answer. There were memes galore that surfaced, including reactions of what Lakshmana thought about her answer.

Even Amitabh Bachchan was surprised since Sonakshi Sinha’s house is also named ‘Ramayana’, her brothers, who are twins are named Luv and Kush and her father Shatrughan are all names from the Ramayana. In fact, Shatrughan Sinha’s brothers are Bharat, Laxman and Ram, again characters from the mythology. 

Big B said, “Aapke pitaji ka naam hai Shatrughan, aap jis ghar me rehti hain, uska naam hai Ramayana. Aapke jitne chacha hain, wo sab Ramayan se sambandhit hain, Aapko ye nahi pata ki Lakshman ke liye laaye they jadibooti?” (Your father’s name is Shatrughan, your house’s name is Ramayan and your uncles are all related to Ramayan, and you are not aware of the person Hanuman brought the jadbooti for?)”
