Sumbul Touqeer's Imlie co-star Fahmaan Khan blames actor's father for their fallout

Fahmaan Khan and Sumbul Touqeer worked together on the Star Plus show Imlie. The duo was immensely popular among the audience which eventually sparked dating rumours between the two. However, things took a bitter turn when Fahmaan opened up on his fallout with Sumbul. The actor blamed her father Touqeer Khan for the same. In a recent interview, Fahmaan talked about the aftermath of his revelation.

In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, the subject of Fahmaan's connection with Sumbul was raised. The actor responded by saying that while they never had any issues with one another, Sumbul's father did, describing how his earlier remark regarding the subject had benefited him. 

He said, "We never had any issues with each other. Her father Touqeer sahab had but let’s not get there. But the thing that changed after that is that people understood my side and that’s what I wanted eventually."

Fahmaan explained why he initially came forward and told his side of the tale. The actor said he withheld information for a long time but had to deal with criticism for no apparent reason, which is why he finally revealed the cause of his falling out with Sumbul. 

Reason behind Fahmaan and Sumbul’s fallout 

In a previous interview, Fahmaan had revealed that he was slated to work with Sumbul for a music video but she was instructed to cancel the song by the latter's father. Speaking on the same, Fahmaan revealed that Sumbul's father didn't appreciate a video clip showing the actress lying on the actor's hand as they dozed off on the Imlie sets.
