SAB TV’s one of the leading serial Tenali Rama is an Indian historical comedy-drama television show. The comedy-drama is produced by Abhimanyu Singh. The story revolves around the life of the legendary Telugu poet Tenali Ramakrishna, one of the eight Ashtadiggajas or one of the eight poets at the court of Emperor Krishnadevaraya. With time, the serial has gained massive popularity and is also appreciated a lot by fans. Tenali Rama Cast and When to watch?

The show has a huge star cast and the characters portrayed by each one of them is widely appreciated and loved. 

Krishna Bharadwaj as Tenali Rama and Manav Gohil as Krishnadevarya:

Krishna Bharadwaj is playing the character of Tenali Rama and his acting is widely appreciated by the critics as well as audiences for his stellar performance on-screen. Manav Gohil who was last seen in Hrithik Roshan's Super 30 is seen portraying the character of Emperor Krishnadevaraya and has already won many hearts with his iconic acting skills.

Pankaj Berry as Tathacharya and Nimisha Vakharia as Lakshmi Amma:

Pankaj Berry is seen playing the role of the antagonist Tathacharya. The well-known actor Nimisha Vakharia is seen playing the role of Lakshmi Amma while Priyamvada Kant is portraying the role of Sharda. Priyanka Singh and Sonia Sharma are seen portraying roles of Krishnadevaraya's wives Thirulamba and Chinnadevi respectively.

Regarding the series and Tenali Rama, Neeraj Vyas, Senior EVP and Head, Channel SAB shares his views on the series saying that India has a compelling tradition of written and oral folklore. He further says that epics are the treasures that teach us valuable life lessons via stories. Tenali Rama is still admired by many and is immortal. Tenali Rama's adaptation on SAB was an initiative to offer a restored and renewed version of the classic chronicle.

Krishna Bharadwaj who is seen playing the role of Tenali Rama actually went bald for his character. In an interview, the actor shared how he got to play the character of Tenali Rama and said he was waiting for something good to come his way and when he received a call to play the character of Tenali Rama, he was shocked when he was informed that he has to go bald for the role. But later, he accepted to go bald for his character and everything fell into place for him. He even admitted that he was not well versed with the character and neither he read about the character before shooting but feels that he is doing a good job though he does not find himself capable of the same.

Tenali Rama aires on SAB TV from Monday to Friday at 7:30 pm every day. The show can also be viewed on Sony LIV app available on android and apple app store. Tenali Rama is the story of the legendary poet in Krishnadevraya’s court who uses his timely wit and intelligence to solve even the trickiest problems and becomes very popular in King’s court.
