Hardik Pandya’s offensive comments against women on ‘Koffee with Karan’ earned him the ire of the country, punishment from the BCCI and much more. However, things are looking up for the all-rounder once again after his apology. The youngster has been selected in India’s squad for the upcoming World Cup, while his performances for Mumbai Indians with both the bat and the ball have played a major role in the team qualifying for the playoffs.
Despite the change of fortunes, trolls are still targetting Hardik for his controversial statements. Krystle D’Souza got dragged into the negativity after posting a picture with the cricketer. The TV actress was forced to react to the same by sending a message to the ‘mean and obnoxious’ trolls by saying it didn’t make any difference to Hardik.
As Hardik recently impressed with both the bat and the ball in the dying stages of the nail-biter against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Krystle posted a snap with the MI star. She also used the lyrics of the ‘Gully Boy’ song ‘Apna Time Aayega’, ‘Mere Bhai Jaisa Koi Hard ich Nahi Hai'.’
Negative comments flooded the replies section and a lot of them were disgusting references to Hardik’s controversial comments on the show.
Moreover, one of them, in reference to Hardik’s comment that he was from the ‘black’ side, asked the all-rounder why he was not selected for the West Indies side.
Aparshakti Khurrana was not pleased with the comment and stood up for Hardik, who he termed as a performer, and asked the troll to not use such language. The ‘Stree’ actor suggested he should rather support the Indian team ahead of the World Cup.
Krystle echoed Aparshakti’s views. The actress called the trolls ‘mean and obnoxious’ people who feel they can get away with anything by typing behind the screen. She supported Hardik by saying ‘ignorance is bliss’ as their words make no difference to his ‘superb performance.’
