Actor Aparna Nair, 33, found dead at Kerala home, police register case of unnatural death

TV and film actor Aparna P. Nair was found dead at her house in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, on Thursday, August 31, evening, says police. She was 33. The actress is survived by her husband, Sanjit, and two daughters. Nair was rushed to the hospital after her body was found but was pronounced dead on arrival. The actress was reportedly found hanging at her house on Thursday evening. The Karamana police have registered a case of unnatural death, and further investigation is underway.

Police registers case of unnatural death

The 33-year-old actor was found hanging inside her room at her residence near Karamana here last night, police said. The incident happened around 7.30 PM on Thursday. 

Aparna was staying with her husband and their children, police said.

Police said they were informed about the incident by the private hospital where she was admitted after she was found hanging. "We received the information from the hospital and have registered a case for unnatural death," a police officer told PTI.

Police suspect that it was a case of suicide and that family issues were behind the extreme step. Aparna Nair is survived by her husband and two children.

An investigation has been launched into the incident, the police added.
