70th National Film Awards Highlights: Mithun Chakraborty, Rishab Shetty, Nithya, Manasi Win Big

70th National Film Awards LIVE: The winners for the year 2022 were honoured by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu at the Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi on October 8. The ceremony saw the winners in all categories - Sooraj R Barjatya was named Best Director for Uunchai. The adventure film, centred on four ageing friends readying to scale Mt Everest, also won Neena Gupta a Best Supporting Actress prize. Additionally, Mithun Chakraborty was bestowed with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, which is India's highest award in the field of cinema.Manasi Parekh, who won her first National Award, broke down while being conferred the Best Actress award for Kutch Express. She shared her award with actress Nithya Menen for the Tamil film Thiruchitrambalam.
