Aamir Khan's daughter Ira Khan-Nupur Shikhare to get married in a traditional ceremony in Udaipur

Ira Khan, the daughter of Aamir Khan, got married to longtime boyfriend Nupur Shikhare on January 3 at the Taj Lands End in Mumbai. At an intimate wedding ceremony, the couple signed the marriage registration document in the presence of friends and family, including Aamir, Kiran Rao, Reena Dutta and Junaid. However, it has been reported that the couple is set to take the traditional route with pheras in Udaipur.

Ira and Nupur, who are legally married now, will head to Udaipur for their traditional wedding festivities. The ceremonies will start on January 8 and will conclude on January 10 with a Hindu wedding ceremony at Taj Aravali Resort located on Kodiyat Road in Udaipur. All 176 rooms of the hotel have been booked for around 250 guests including Bollywood stars and family members of the bride and groom such as Aamir Khan, Reena Dutta, Kiran Rao, Imran Khan and Junaid Khan.

The wedding festivities will be a family affair and will see relatives attending the functions. The couple will then head to Mumbai and host a reception at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre on January 13.

The ceremony on Wednesday was thoroughly entertaining as Nupur ditched the traditional entry and jogged his way to the wedding venue from Santacruz to the Bandra area in Mumbai. He also skipped the traditional wedding ensemble and signed the documents in a black vest and shorts. Later, he was seen in a blue sherwani, while Ira looked pretty as a bride in a blue embroidered blouse and pink dhoti pants. She added a sheer dupatta to accentuate her bridal look.

Nupur proposed to Ira during a triathlon in Italy in September 2022, followed by an official engagement party in Mumbai in December 2022.
