"I think he kind of knew what he was in for after that, just like, ‘Oh God, my son!’ He is not someone who displays his emotions very easily, but my mother was very emotional,” Abhishek Bachchan added.

Abhishek Bachchan on Jaya Bachchan's comeback

Earlier, in an interview with Instant Bollywood, Abhishek Bachchan opened up about the veteran actress making her comeback on the silver screen with Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. He said watching his mother's performance on screen is always "emotional" for him. He finds it challenging to view his mother's acting objectively, unlike his father's work.

He further expressed his desire to see both his wife, Aishwarya Rai, and his mother, Jaya, take on more roles. Calling himself a "devoted fan" of their work, the actor said, "As viewers of cinema, both Aishwarya and Mom have already contributed so much. They have so much more to give now. It’s such an exciting time."
