The Aishwarya Rai starrer revolves around parents seeking out for a suitable groom for their four beautiful daughters. Mistress Of Spices (2005)
Aishwarya Rai essayed the role of Tilo in The Mistress of Spices. The story focuses on Tilo who runs a spice store. She has a divine gift of insight into her customer's lives which helps her to give them whichever spice they need. One day she fells head over heels in love with an American man who enters her store. Tilo gets in a serious dilemma as she has to choose between her gift and love.
Provoked (2006)
Aishwarya Rai played the complex role of a Punjabi woman Kiranjeet Ahluwalia, who gets married and moves to London with her husband. Initially, the husband is quite caring but soon things start to change as he sleeps with other women, and abuses her terribly. The abused Kiranjeet resorts to killing him after 10 years of assault. Released in 2006, this heartbreaking story is based on a real event.
The Last Legion (2007)
Based on an Italian novel of the same name, the movie portrays Aishwarya Rai as Mira, a martial arts expert. Mira is born to a warrior family in India. She becomes an agent of the Byzantine empire who has to assist the Roman commander plan the escape of Romulus Augustus Caeser from prison. Rai stars opposite Colin Firth and Ben Kingsley in 2007 movie The Last Legion.
The Pink Panther 2 (2009)
Aishwarya Rai plays an antagonist in Harald Zwart’s The Pink Panther 2, which is the second instalment of The Pink Panther series that stars Steve Martin. Rai essays Sonia Solandres who is a criminology expert in the 2009 action comedy film. With its unbelievable plot twist and fun elements, the audience cannot move from their seat till the end.
