Actor Ajay Devgn set to play a mentor in SS Rajamouli’s film RRR

Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn will be playing an important role in SS Rajamouli’s RRR, which is currently being made. Ever since this news was made public, fans were eager to know what Ajay’s role would be. According to some sources, Ajay Devgn will play the mentor for both Ram Charan and Jr NTR. It was earlier hinted that the Bollywood star was impressed with the way his character was written and agreed to be a part of this magnum opus.

Ajay Devgn to debut in South Indian film industry

Ram Charan will be seen playing the role of Alluri Seetharamaraju, while Jr NTR will be seen as Komaram Bheem. The actors play freedom fighters in this fictional period drama that is set in the pre-Independence era. Alia Bhatt who is also part of the film will be seen playing the role of Sita in the film. Both Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt will be making their debut in the South Indian film industry with this film.

According to some sources MM Keeravani is on board to compose the tunes. KK Senthil Kumar will be in charge of the film's cinematography with A Sreekar Prasad being roped in for editing. RRR is being produced by DVV Dhanayya under his banner DVV Entertainments. The film has an estimated budget of ₹ 300 crores. The director has also signed up Tamil actor and director Samuthirakani for an unrevealed role in the film.

The film RRR is planned to be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. The director of the film had made an announcement and confirmed that the film will release on July 30 in 2020. The shooting of this film began where it completed one schedule in Hyderabad. The other schedule was wrapped up in Gujarat. RRR is the next massive project from the Baahubali director. Similar to Baahubali this film will reportedly involve computer graphics and VFX as well. The film’s release is scheduled for mid-2020.
