Alia Bhatt drops no makeup selfie as she heads off to Jigra shoot | Photo

Actress Alia Bhatt is current in the middle of her shoot schedule for her home production film Jigra. Earlier today, Alia Bhatt shared a boomerang video in her Instagram stories section, informing her followers that she was en route to the shooting location for Jigra. Bhatt captioned the video with the text, “And it’s another night shoot on Jigra. @vasanbala i’m on the way but sleep is also on the way.”

A few days ago too, Bhatt had shared many BTS stills from the shooting location of Jigra on the commencement day of their film’s shoot. Bhatt had written then, “& we're rolling .. day one of bringing our jigra to life.. stay tuned as we bring to you a piece of our hearts.. fingers and toes crossed for the journey aheaddddddd ..love, TEAM JIGRA”

Jigra is directed by Monica O My Darling fame Vasan Bala, and written by scriptwriter Debashish Irengbam. Irengbam has earlier been part of popular crime-based TV shows like Adaalat and CID. Besides Alia Bhatt, Jigra features Vedang Raina who is gearing up for his debut in a next weeks, with the Zoya Akhtar movie The Archies.  

Jigra slated to release in September 2024

Alia Bhatt had officially announced the movie a few weeks ago on her social media page, getting nostalgic as she spoke about her connection with Dharma productions. The Darlings actress wrote in her announcement post, “From debuting in a Dharma production to now producing a film with them, in many ways, it feels like coming full circle from where I started. Every day is a different day… exciting, challenging (and a little scary)… not just as an actor but also as a producer as we bring this film to life, and I CANNOT wait to share more as we move forward”

Co-produced by Dharma productions and Alia Bhatt’s production house Eternal Sunshine, Jigra is slated to release on September 27, 2024.
