'Alia Bhatt is in the house!,' exclaims sister Pooja Bhatt as 'Sadak 2' goes on floors

From celebrating success to defending sister over 'non-Indian' controversy, Pooja Bhatt has always got sister Alia Bhatt's back. As the sibling duo is all set to share screen space in father Mahesh Bhatt's upcoming 'Sadak 2', Pooja recently welcomed sister Alia on the project in a rather exceptional way.

The actress shared three pictures- one of Alia's name which appears to be her name on her vanity van, a picture of a cat, as we all know the 'Raazi' star is hugely fond of cats and a bright and beautiful painting of a girl with butterflies, representing Alia's vibrant nature. Calling out to her sister, Pooja captioned the post saying, "Alia Bhatt in the house." Pooja's love for the family venture was evident in two hashtags she added towards the end of her caption- #morethanjustafilm and #memoriestolastalifetime.

The shooting for the upcoming venture commemorated three days ago, and to mark the occasion, Alia had shared a picture of the clapper board as she stepped in to shoot on Day 1. She also had penned a long note along with the pic which read, "Today is Day 1 of Sadak 2. And that's my father, now also my director, holding the clap. I begin shooting in a few days and honestly, I’m petrified. I feel like a tiny mouse trying to climb a beautiful, immense, emotional mountain. I hope I make it to the top and if I fall I hope I’m able to get up again. It’s a tough climb but from everything I’ve seen and everything I’ve heard, I know every single step and misstep will be worth it! Here's to movies, family, dreams and starting out on a brand NEW journey! And what a journey it’s going to be!!!! 🌟🙏🌞"

'Sadak 2' is a sequel to  Mahesh Bhatt's 1991 directorial venture 'Sadak' which starred Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt in the lead. The movie was based on the life of a young man who falls in love with a sex worker. He was forced to overcome the social stigma as well as face the brothel owner and some criminal elements.

Sanjay and Pooja will be returning as Ravi and Pooja in the upcoming venture as the makers have revealed the film takes their story forward with Alia and Aditya Roy Kapur being the new addition. 

'Sadak 2' is scheduled to hit the screens on March 25, next year.
