Alia Bhatt: Vijay Deverakonda asked for the Gully Boy star's number

The Telugu industry superstar, Vijay Deverakonda is known for his good looks and back-to-back blockbuster numbers. His performance in Arjun Reddy did not just receive applause in the southern movie industry but also hyped his acting skills in Bollywood. As much as Bollywood is fond of Arjun Reddy, Vijay also has a soft corner for the industry. In a recent interview with news daily, Vijay Deverakonda revealed that he called Karan Johar at midnight to ask for Alia Bhatt’s phone number.

Vijay Deverakonda asked for Alia Bhatt’s number

During this interview, the actor was asked about the movie which impressed him the most. To which, he replied that Zoya Akhtar’s directorial, Gully Boy impressed him the most. He added that he liked Alia Bhatt’s acting in the film. Vijay Deverakonda also revealed that post watching Alia Bhatt in Gully Boy, he was stunned by the actor's performance in the film. He called Karan Johar at midnight to ask for her phone number so that he could congratulate and praise her personally. Well, whether Karan Johar gave him Alia’s number or no, is still a mystery.

Looks like Vijay Deverakonda has become Karan Johar’s favourite. Karan said to a news daily that he loves Vijay’s on-screen skills and wishes to cast him for a Bollywood film. The Student of the Year director is reported to create a remake of Vijay Deverakonda’s Dear Comrade. Dear Comrade is a romantic love story. It looks like Karan Johar would not have to work more on the leads. It is not only Karan who admires Vijay, but the latter is also Janhvi Kapoor’s crush. In Karan’s celebrity talk show, the Dhadak actor said that she has a huge crush on Vijay Deverakonda. Alongside all the appreciation from Bollywood, Vijay’s Arjun Reddy was also loved by the audience. Vijay was also praised for the storyline which surely attracted fans to watch Kabir Singh.
