Ameesha Patel’s journey in Bollywood

Born in Mumbai, Ameesha Patel reportedly completed her schooling from the Cathedral and John Cannon High School in Bombay and graduated in economics from Tufts University in Massachusetts, USA. Reports say that Patel had a keen interest in arts since childhood and had no plans of pursuing acting as a profession. It was reportedly actor-cum-director Rakesh Roshan who convinced Ameesha to pursue her career in acting, by offering her a role in his directorial, Kaho Na Pyaar Hai. Ameesha Patel became an overnight sensation, as Kaho Na Pyaar Hai was a huge blockbuster. The actor then went on to do a couple of films with actors Sunny Deol, Arjun Rampal and Anil Kapoor. Ameesha was seen alongside Sunny Deol in the hit film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. Ameesha Patel has managed to enthral her fans with a variety of performances onscreen.
