Amitabh Bachchan's birthday: Fans celebrate like a festival at Jalsa
As Amitabh Bachchan celebrated his 77th birthday, fans celebrated like a festival at his residence Jalsa in Mumbai. They flaunted banners, tattoos and more.

Scores of fans gather outside Jalsa every day, some with a hope to catch a glimpse of Amitabh Bachchan, and some to just feel the aura of just visiting his bungalow, which has become like a tourist spot today. On Sunday, however, they are aware that if Big B is not shooting, he will definitely come out and give a ‘darshan’ to them by waving at them and greeting them. So, one can imagine what would be scenes in Juhu on the ‘Megastar’s birthday on October 11. As Amitabh Bachchan celebrated his 77th birthday on Friday, the Bachchan residence wore the look of a street decked up during festivals as fans carried placards, dressed in the get-ups of the thespian and celebrated as if it was their own family member’s birthday.
One fan was dressed in his Jhoom Barabar Jhoom avatar and several other lookalikes were also spotted.
Another carried a placard with the full form of Amitabh as ‘Acting Master Indian Talented Admirable Bollywood Hero’.
Many of them danced. One person came up with ‘77’, his new age in the form of ice. One person carried a painting that he made on the ‘Mahanayak’.

A fan showed his tattoo that bore the signature of Amitabh Bachchan. Another got imprinted Big B’s face on his chest.
There was more police officers than usual, more media persons than usual, who might not just be doing their job, but also hoping to see Amitabh Bachchan.
From putting up a balloon with the words ‘Happy Birthday’ on the street lights to putting some his iconic poster like Don, there was an outflow of love for Amitabh Bachchan. Many of them wore T-shirts bearing his name and image, and held ‘Birthday’ ballons.
Like they say, Amitabh Bachchan is not just a name or person, he is an emotion and this love was proved once again.
Big B conveys gratitude
A regular Tweeter, Amitabh Bachchan thanked his fans on Twitter, “My immense gratitude and gratefulness to them that send their wishes for the 11th .. I cannot possibly thank each one individually .. but each one of you resides in my heart .. my love to you ..⚘ .. अनेक अनेक धन्यवाद.”
