Amjad Khan: Here are the best roles of the popular Sholay actor over his career

Amjad Khan debuted as a child actor in Bollywood back in the 1950s with the film Nazneen. He was then roped to essay the character of Ashok in N.K.Ziree directorial Char Paise. Late Amjad Khan’s career spanned over four decades and he has delivered some excellent films over all those years. Here, we take a look back at some of his best films apart from the popular Sholay.

Shatranj Ke Khiladi

Amjad Khan essayed the character of Wajid Ali Khan in the 1977 hit. The film was a historic rendition of the British era stories penned down by Munshi Premchand and directed by legendary Satyajit Ray. Amjad Khan was a pivotal part of this historic drama.

Muqaddar Ka Sikandar

Amjad Khan as Dilawar in the Prakash Mehra directorial, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, is a must-watch for Amjad Khan fans. He portrayed the character of an antagonist and declares vengeance over the protagonist Sikander in the romantic-drama film. The film released back in 1978.

Satte pe Satta

Satte pe Satta tells the story of seven orphaned brothers who are taken care of by the eldest brother. The seven brothers fall in love with different girls and bring their love interest to their homes. Amjad Khan essayed the role of Ranjit Singh, the villainous paternal uncle, who is the root of all problems. This film is a must-watch for any Amjad Khan fans. 

Mr Natwarlal 

The film is the vengeance story of the protagonist( Amitabh Bachchan) against the antagonist Vikram, essayed by Amjad Khan. Once again in the film, Amjad Khan is a villainous character with sinister plans to frame innocent people for the crimes they did not commit. Mr Natwarlal was directed by Rakesh Kumar and was a hit amongst many fans. 

Qurbaani 

Amjad Khan essayed the role of an Inspector in the film, Qurbaani. It released back in the year 1980 and is a crime thriller starring Zeenat Aman and Feroz Khan. This film is one of the popular hits starring Amjad Khan.
