November 12, 2019 marks Gabbar aka Amjad Khan’s 79th birth anniversary. He is one of those villains in the Hindi Film industry who gave many sleepless nights. Gabbar's famous dialogues like “Kitne aadmi the?” and “…Maa kehti hai so Jaa Warna Gabbar aa jaayega” from Sholay still send chills down the spine when we watch the film. His deadly performance in Sholay overshadowed Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Jaya Bachchan, and others in the film. Amjad Khan also took up many other spectacular roles in Hindi cinema but gained popularity for his villain avatar primarily. Today, on the day of his birth anniversary, here's taking a look at some of his iconic dialogues that are still fresh in the minds of his fans.

1: Sholay:

Sholay was were the Gabbar Singh character received more love than Jai's or Veeru's character. The movie was directed by Ramesh Sippy and it also featured Amitabh, Dharmendra, Hema, and Jaya in prominent roles. In the movie were Jai-Veeru's friendship and Basanti's tanga and her innocent dialogues were loved by the audiences. But there was also this iconic villain whose dialogues instilled fear among many for years. Here's a list of them:

Apart from Sholay, his other dialogues that made Gabbar famous for his villain roles were from movies like Laawaris, Kaalia, Himmatwala, Qurbani and Kasam Vaade.
