Ananya Panday's 'guilty pleasure' has a Salman Khan connection

With the advent of Netflix and other streaming platforms, international series have become a lot more accessible to the new generation. The conversations of the teenagers nowadays often revolve around what they are watching, and what’s going on in the shows. Some of the more ‘massy’ shows might be bringing in the TRPs and receiving good viewership, but the youngsters’ chats usually don’t involve such programmes. One section looks down upon it, while some continue to watch it secretly. That seems to be case with Ananya Panday too. The actor dotes on international series like Gossip Girl and F. R. I. E. N. D. S, but as far as her ‘guilty pleasure’ is concerned, shows like the Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss are equally important for her too.

In a recent interview with a bridal magazine, Ananya Panday opened up on some of the favourites in movies and shows. The Student of the Year 2 star shared that Gossip Girl and F. R. I. E. N. D. S are her most favourite shows and added that she loves to rewatch the episodes. However, the youngster revealed that watching shows like Bigg Boss is her ‘guilty pleasure.’ Apart from Bigg Boss, her other ‘guilty pleasure’ is watching Splitsvilla.

Recently, another actor had made headlines over Bigg Boss. Unlike Ananya, Alia Bhatt does not seem to be too fond of the show. She was asked by the paparazzi at the airport if she watches Bigg Boss. Her discomfort is answering that she doesn’t watch the show due to lack of time, had gone viral.

In the same interview, Ananya revealed that Euphoria was the show that she had recently finished watching.  As far as movies were concerned, the Pati Patni Aur Woh star shared that she grew up on Hindi films. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and later, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, were films she loved then. The 21-year-old added that Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Crazy, Stupid, Love, 10 Things I Hate About You are movies she could binge-watch on, because romantic films were the closest to her heart.

Professional front 

On the professional front, Ananya is all set to star in Pati Patni Aur Woh that releases on December 6. The movie also stars Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar. The film is a humourous take on an extra-marital affair.
