One of the most renowned actors in Bollywood, Anil Kapoor has appeared in more than a hundred films. He made his debut in the Telugu film Vamsa Vruksham as a lead actor in the year 1980. He has also won many awards in his career for his performance in the movies. One of his movies which he reportedly refused to do was 1942: A Love Story.
Why did he refuse to do the movie?
It is said that Anil refused to do 1942: A Love Story because he thought that he would not be able to do such a role in the movie. Furthermore, he said that he was quite uncomfortable too and that was his only love story movie he did. The movie 1942: A Love Story was no doubt one of the finest films which the actor ever did in his career. The movie was directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The songs of the movie are evergreen and are still remembered for their romantic compositions by veteran RD Burman.
Upcoming films of Anil Kapoor
The upcoming film Pagalpanti is directed by Anees Bazme and bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Abhishek Pathak, Krishan Kumar and Kumar Mangat Pathak. This is apparently Anil's fifth movie with the director Anees Bazme. The actor also mentioned that he has lost the count of movies he has done with the director and there will be much more collaboration which they both will do together. The movie also stars John Abraham, Ileana D'Cruz, Arshad Warsi, Pulkit Samrat, Kriti Kharbanda, Urvashi Rautela and Saurabh Shukla. The movie is all set to hit the theatres on November 22, 2019, and until the movie releases, enjoy the trailer of the movie Pagalpanti.
