Mr.India
Mr.India was one of the few films that made us believe in a sci-fi watch that can make people disappear. It was a film starring Sridevi and Mr.India. While, late versatile actor Sridevi had stolen the show, with a charisma, by playing the role of Mr.India’s lady love, Anil Kapoor still managed to make a mark amongst the critics, with his acting skills. He played the role of a caretaker to a bunch of orphan kids. He finds a watch that helps him fight the terrorist, Mogambo.
Tezaab
This film was Madhuri Dixit’s first film with Anil Kapoor in which he played the role of Munna. Directed by Yash Chopra, in this film Anil Kapoor plays the role of a road-side tapori- Munna transformed into an educated youngster to make an honest living. With Madhuri’s item number song, Ek do teen, Munna still managed to win hearts with his character. This movie still manages to win hearts even today. Actor, Anil Kapoor, had even won his first Best Actor award for his role, Munna.
Nayak
Nayak was the remake of a Tamil film. In this film, Anil Kapoor as Shivaji Rao shows what he can accomplish as a Chief Minister within 24 hours. He is challenged by the current Chief Minister (Amrish Puri) Balraj Chauhan for an entire day, after a few tough questions Shivaji Rao throws at him during an interview. Anil Kapoor, being dynamic looks into as many problems as possible. The film, however, was considered average by the box office but, the character of Shivaji Rao was loved by all.
