Animal: Bobby Deol to play a mute character in Ranbir Kapoor starrer? Actor reacts

Bobby Deol, who left a mark after making a comeback to the entertainment world, will be seen in a completely different avatar in his upcoming film Animal. Earlier, rumours were doing the rounds that he would be playing a mute character in the film. However, neither the makers nor the actor issued any clarification. Now, during the pre-release event in Hyderabad on Monday, the actor addressed the rumours.

Bobby Deol reacts to the rumours about his character in Animal

When asked about playing a mute character in Animal, Bobby gestured that he cannot reveal. He added, "No such thing has been revealed. I think people just concluded that because I don’t speak any lines." Opening up about how he prepared for the role, he said, "It was a very challenging role to play. I would hit the gym at 5 AM while shooting in England because I had shirtless scenes.”

During the event, Anil Kapoor opened up about his fondness for Bobby Deol and said that the film would change Bobby's life. Sharing the stage with Bobby, the veteran actor said, "This film is going to change Bobby Deol’s life. I’ve never gone wrong, Bobby. This film is going to make you a big superstar." On hearing this, Bobby was overwhelmed, he thanked and hugged the veteran actor.

In the film, Bobby plays the antagonist, he is at loggerheads with Ranbir.

The film is helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Triptii Dimri in pivotal roles. The film is slated to hit the theatres on December 1 alongside Vicky Kaushal's highly anticipated film Sam Bahadur, co-starring Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra.
