During the course of filming the movie, Ankita had to be on a strict fitness routine. According to sources, she was even injured during the shoot, but still, she kept filming for the stunts in Manikarnika.

Kangana Ranaut's 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi' had a twisty start after being hit by controversies just like Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus 'Padmaavat'. It has been accused of distorting the facts of history. However, what added oil to the fire was the entire episode of Sonu Sood's exit of the film. The actor who was reportedly all set to star the movie with Ranaut reportedly decided to leave it midway.

Moreover, Kangana took up the dual responsibility now of essaying the titular role and that of directing the film, since Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi (also known as Krish), the director of the project had some prior commitments. But no matter what, actress Ankita was always very happy filming with her co-star Ranaut.
