Anushka Sharma: This is why the actress took a break from Bollywood

Anushka Sharma was last seen in the movie Zero in 2018 alongside Shahrukh Khan. The actress essayed the role of a differently-abled space scientist. In one calendar year, she did three movies consecutively. These movies were Pari, Sui Dhaga, and Zero. After the movie Zero, the actress did not announce any new upcoming projects. But recently, Anushka Sharma revealed that she took a break from movies.

Anushka Sharma married her long-time beau, cricketer Virat Kohli on December 11, 2017. Reportedly, there were rumours about Anushka taking a break from her career post-marriage. But instead, she gave some hit blockbusters after her marriage. Her movies like Sanju, Pari and Sui Dhaaga did extremely well in the box office. Although her last movie Zero (2018), didn’t do well at the box-office,  Anushka revealed that Zero's failure is not the reason she decided to take a break from movies.

According to a leading daily, since she was extremely busy working over three movies consecutively, the actor wanted to relax and sit back after the hectic year of 2018. Anushka reportedly said that in the past three years of her career, she has been working in a pattern that includes extremely busy schedules. She mentioned that the roles she did required a lot of preparation as they were extremely demanding.

Anushka Sharma added that managing three films in a year like Pari, Sui Dhaaga, and Zero is difficult and requires a lot of prep. All three movies were of different genres, and thus she had to prepare hard for all of them. She further explained that sometimes a person wants to sit back and take a call. Also, Anushka confidently exclaimed that she has gained enough security as an actor in her career where she doesn’t need things or sign movies just to pass her time. People also assumed that she had taken a break to plan her family. But whatever the reason may be Anushka seems happy and enjoying her life!
