Arjun Kapoor-starrer Panipat has been given the release date of December 6, 2019. The film is helmed by Ashutosh Gowarikar and produced by Sunita Gowariker and Rohit Shelatkar. It stars prominent names like Sanjay Dutt and Kriti Sanon. The film is said to be based on the battle that happened between the Marathas and the King of Afghanistan in the year 1761. The battle was called Panipat and hence the movie title. Arjun Kapoor, one of the leading actors of the film, has been intensely working out to prepare for his role.

Arjun Kapoor plays a significant role in the film. The actor has been going through a major physical transformation to fit into the role. He posted a picture of his ripped body on his official Instagram handle. In a recent interview with a media portal, the actor said that he wants to be honest with the audience and himself. He said that he has health issues that he does not talk about. The actor mentioned that he had been an obese child and that he has been fighting obesity constantly. The actor added that the director is happy with the way he is looking. He said that the character needed a certain physicality. The actor believes he looks like a warrior and is back to feeling his best.

The leading lady of the film Panipat, Kriti Sanon, shared a picture on her official social media handle after the commencement of its shoot. The actor expressed her gratitude for the co-star Arjun Kapoor and for the director Ashutosh Gowarikar. She thanked the director for giving her this opportunity and for adding many flavours to Parvati’s character. The actor also spoke about how honoured she was to be working on the project.
