Ayushmann Khurrana’s hits; South films and blockbusters feature in IMDb’s 'Top 10 Indian Movies of 2018’

Ayushmann Khurrana had a year to remember with two back-to-back hits in October, ‘AndhaDhun’ and ‘Badhaai Ho’. After both the ventures were critically acclaimed and commercially successful, there is further proof that the two ventures were immensely liked by the audiences.

‘AndhaDhun’ has topped Internet Movie Database’s (IMDb) ‘Top 10 Indian Movies of 2018’ list while ‘Badhaai Ho’ is at no 5. 

The other three films in the top 5 are all from South, Tamil films ‘Ratsasan’ and Vijay Sethupathi-Trisha Krishnan starrer ‘96’ were at no 2 and 3 respectively while Keerthy Suresh’s Telugu film ‘Mahanati’ was at no 4. Another Telugu movie, Ram Charan starrer ‘Rangasthalam’ was at seventh position.   

Akshay Kumar was arguably the biggest name on the list with ‘Pad Man’ on sixth position.     

The positions eight, ninth and tenth were taken up by three blockbusters of the year, Rajkummar Rao-Shraddha Kapoor starrer ‘Stree’ and Alia Bhatt’s ‘Raazi’, both Rs 100-crore successes and Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Sanju’ that is still the highest grossing movie of the year at more than Rs 300 crore collections in India.
