Ayushmann Khurrana's major throwback to his Roadies audition
Ayushmann Khurrana came, saw and conquered the Bollywood film industry. But before that, Ayushmann's claim to fame was winning the second season of MTV Roadies.
Before gaining name and fame in the Bollywood film industry, Ayushmann Khurrana worked as a video jockey on MTV channel. How did he become a VJ on the channel? It was after he won the second season of the all-time fan favourite show Roadies. This second season was aired in the year 2004.
Ayushmann Khurrana's most recent Bollywood movie was Dream Girl.
Ayushmann Khurrana had posted a picture of himself and Ranvijay Singha on his Instagram. The two look almost unrecognisable from their younger days. Ayushmann can be seen wearing a light pink t-shirt with denim jeans. Ranvijay is wearing a blue and white full-sleeved t-shirt. Ranvijay can be seen holding a mic for Ayushmann.
The picture was reposted by Ranvijay as well. The show was hosted by Singha for the season, who was also the winner of the first season of Roadies. Singha quipped at how they obviously have better hairstyles and stylists after 14 years. He also wished him good luck.
Ayushmann’s audition tape can be found on the official YouTube channel of MTV Roadies. Ayushmann looks very confident as he is questioned by the judge Raghu Ram. He talks about which contestant he was threatened by. At the end of the video, there is a small segment where Ayushmann can be seen talking about how Roadies has the ‘law of the jungle.’
Ayushmann’s entry in Bollywood was in 2012 with Vicky Donor. His knack of picking up content-driven films is well-appreciated by the fans and audience. The actor will be seen next in the movie Bala alongside Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam. He also has Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhaan in his kitty, which will release next year.
