Bad Newz Box Office Collection Day 1: Vicky-Triptii Starrer Is Off To Good Start, Mints ₹8.62 Crore

Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk starrer, Bad Newz, has finally hit theatres. The trailer struck the right chord to create excitement among the cinemagoers and the hit song, Tauba Tauba, acted as the last straw to attract the audience to the theatres. And guess what, it all panned out well as Bad Newz has turned out to be a promising opener.

Helmed by Anant Tiwari, the movie is off to a good start as it minted ₹8.62 crore on the opening day at the domestic box office, as per trade analyst Taran Adarsh. Bad Newz stands as Vicky's biggest opener of his career. Earlier Uri: The Surgical Strike was leading the chart with ₹8.20 crore, followed by Raazi - ₹7.35 crore.

The comedy-drama has opened better than most highly anticipated releases in 2024, including Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Article 370, Maidaan, Chandu Champion, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and a week-old Sarfira.
