Bala's balding problems - will they be solved once and for all?

Bala is all set to release on November 8, 2019. The movie stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam. Known for taking up social issues in his movies, Ayushamann is playing a young man suffering from premature balding. 

The trailer which released on October 9, shows hilarious situations faced by the character named Bala. The trailer starts with him trying to sell fairness products to a bunch of women. But Bhumi Pednekar, who plays a dark-skinned girl in the movie, comes up and reveals a man promoting stereotyped beauty is himself lacking hair. This introduces the peg of the movie to the audience.

In the trailer of Bala, Ayushmann Khurrana's character tries out a hoard of different techniques, home remedies, ayurvedic remedies and clinical treatments to re-grow hair on his head. He has tried colouring his scalp black to hide his problem but the water from the sprinklers ruin his strategy as a streak of black colour drips down his face. Bala is also seen rubbing his fingernails together, which is an old technique that said to have work wonders for regrowing hair. He also uses various DIY remedies which promises hair regrowth like egg mask, yoga posture, cow dung and ghee. But none of them works for the balding youth. Lastly, however, Bala's father gifts him a wig which instantly solves all his problems and also gets him the girl of his dreams, played by Yami Gautam. He, however, faces the moral dilemma of whether to hide the truth from his would-be beautiful bride.

Bala's tryst with balding forms the hilarious aspect of the movie. But it also deals with the poignant issue which many youthful men seem to suffer from. The funny reactions and judgements faced by Ayushmann Khurrana's character in the movie is a sad reality for them. Thus, through comic laughter, the cast of Bala tries to send home this message. But the question remains, will Bala find a solution to his balding?
