Bed-ridden Amitabh Bachchan shares pic, fans write, 'get well soon'

Amitabh Bachchan is unwell but the megastar never misses a chance to update his fans on Twitter. The actor stays connected through his blog and social media activities. Sharing a picture from his bed watching football on his television, Bachchan wrote, "see this all day long .. the Fowler , precision ups and downs and bends in the bed .. the TV .. Premier League and .. yeeeeeaaaaahhhhhhh .. a Chelsea win".
He even shared two videos of a commercial he featured in and captioned it taking his health in consideration. He wrote, "अस्वस्थ हैं, बिस्तर पे पड़े हैं ; लेकिन ये चल रहा है ... BIKAJI" [sic] Many fans sent their prayers for the actor's good health and speedy recovery. One fan commented: 'Take Care Amitji. You deserve this "me-time" more than anyone else.", the other wrote: "This must be hard for a workaholic person like YOU.. but positive thing is that you're relaxing.." [sic].
Bachchan also penned a blog about how everyone has asked him to slow down. And cracking a joke about the same, Bachchan wrote: "so one listens to the body .. and many shall there be who will applaud and commit to say .. “ did we not tell you this to slow down” .. Slow down .. ? Thats what you tell the vehicle or the train on road and track .. so .. what" [sic]
Bachchan regrets missing the inaugural ceremony of 25th KIFF
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Saturday regretted having missed the inaugural ceremony of 25th Kolkata International Film Festival which he had been attending for the past six years. Bachchan has been indisposed since Thursday forcing him to cancel his scheduled presence at the inaugural function of the 25th Kolkata International Film Festival on Friday.
He wrote on his blog, "Sad and in regret to not be able to travel for KIFF to Kolkata .. an event that has invited me for years .. I think now 7 years .. and the speech .. glorifying cinema and the research by educated assists from dear friends .. gone .. but there is communication established whether I could read it on video and send to them to be played at the Closing .."
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Friday, "Amitji comes here every time. But since last night he is not well and doctors asked him not to travel. I got a message from him this morning about his inability to come. We pray for his long life and good health."
