Vicky Kaushal has wrapped up the shooting for his upcoming horror film, 'Bhoot: The Haunted Ship (Part One)'. Apart from him, the film will see Bhumi Pednekar playing the female lead. The shooting began earlier this year in Gujrat’s Alang, the largest shipbreaking yard in all over Asia. It is also the first part of the planned franchise. Below is the first look of the film. In the poster, a hand covered fully in blood, with long nails can be seen grabbing the 31-year-old Vicky Kaushal's bruised face as he tries to peek out of a ship's broken window.
About Vicky Kaushal:
Vicky Kaushal, son of director Sham Kaushal, pursued an engineering degree from the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology. Wanting to take up acting as a career, he assisted Anurag Kashyap in the crime drama 'Gangs of Wasseypur' (2012) and went on to play minor roles in two of Kashyap's productions. He got his first break in the independent drama, ‘Masaan’ (2015), which earned him the IIFA and Screen Awards for Best Male Debut. Following ‘Masaan’, he starred as an unhinged cop in Anurag Kashyap's psychological thriller 'Raman Raghav 2.0' (2016).
Kaushal wins the National Award:
Vicky Kaushal has recently won the National Film Award for Best Actor for his performance in his latest movie, 'Uri: The Surgical Strike'. The star has a plethora of projects lined up. His upcoming films include Karan Johar's 'Takht', Shoojit Sircar’s 'Udham Singh' biopic and a superhero fantasy film based on the mythological character 'Ashwathama'. He is also set to reunite with Raazi director Meghna Gulzar for a biopic on 'Sam Manekshaw'.
About 'Bhoot: Part One'
Bhoot: Part One - The Haunted Ship is directed by debutant Bhanu Pratap Singh. The movie is co-produced by Shashank Khaitan and Dharma Productions. It is a new genre that Dharma Productions is exploring for the first time. The film is scheduled to be released on November 15, 2019.
