Vicky’s recent release, Uri: The Surgical Strike has given a big boost to his career and his first National Award. With all the success, the actor is now set to scary you in his upcoming horror flick, Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship. The movie is said to be based on a real incident. Based on a real incident?
In an interview with a leading daily, Shashank Khaitan, who has produced the film along with Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta, said that Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship is based on a true incident that took place in Bombay. He said that Karan Johar loved the script. The intent is to create a series. They are looking at making more authentic films, even horror comedies. He revealed that he had discussed a few ideas with the director. However, there is no confirmation on the exact incident on which the movie is based on.
Bhoot Franchise:
Directed by Bhanu Pratap Singh, Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship, is the first installment in Bhoot franchise. Director-Producer, Karan Johar has announced that Dharma Productions will be producing a series of horror movie under the name Bhoot, which is inspired from Ram Gopal Verma’s 2003 released Bhoot. Karan Johar said that he requested Ram Gopal Verma for the title Bhoot and Ram graciously agreed instantly. He added that the team aspires to make sure the title is in the right hands of horror.
The movie was supposed to release on November 15, 2019, has now been postponed to release on February 21, 2020. Bhumi Pednekar will also be seen in the horror flick, playing a special role. The movie is shot at some lesser-explored locations in Gujarat. Shooting for Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship, has commenced. Vicky Kaushal confirmed the shooting wrap of the film with a post on his social media handle.
