‘Bigg Boss’ fame Ajaz Khan arrested for posting objectionable TikTok videos on social media, details here

Ajaz Khan has been arrested by the Mumbai Police after a case was registered against the ‘Bigg Boss’ fame actor for allegedly posting objectionable videos to instigate public on grounds of religion on social media.

Ajaz Khan has been arrested by the Mumbai Police after a case was registered against the ‘Bigg Boss’ fame actor for allegedly posting objectionable videos to instigate public on grounds of religion on social media.

The DCP of Mumbai confirmed Khan's arrest for promoting enmity through his video. The officer shared that the Cyber Police had arrested him over various sections. 

The official statement states, “Cyber Crime Police Station, Mumbai had received a complaint along with few videos which have gone viral on social media. It was found that Ajaz Khan created/uploaded these videos with objectionable contents mainly promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion etc, created hatred among public at large. 

It continued, "After due enquiry, on 17/07/2019, a case has been registered against Ajaz Khan, vide Cr 36/2019, U/S 153 A, 34 IPC, and 67 IT Act. He has been arrested in this case and further investigation is being done by Cyber Crime Police Station, Mumbai.”

Khan allegedly mocked Mumbai Police for registering an FIR against a group of Tik Tok users for their 'communal' video over a recent lynching incident, following which their accounts were suspended.    

Filmmaker and President of Indian Film and Television Directors' Association, Ashoke Pandit too expressed his delight with the news, while sharing the complaint he had filed at the Juhu police station against Khan. He tweeted, "Thank U @MumbaiPolice for arresting @ajazkhanActor for a controversial #TikTokVideo. I also had filed a complaint at Juhu Police station on 16th July 2019. He is a menace to the society."
