Kollywood superstar Vijay starrer Tamil film Bigil has made headlines after it crossed the Rs 200-crore mark recently. The movie is considered to be one of the finest films by the actor. Bigil has been doing great nationally, with parts of South as well as North India loving the sports-based movie. According to recent reports, the movie is dominating the overseas box office as well. Overseas box office collection
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to reveal the box office collection of the movie. He stated that in just one week the movie has managed to woo the international audience. It has apparently collected ₹ 7.21 crores in the United States of America, and ₹ 2.30 crore in Australia. He also tweeted that the movie had collected approximately ₹ 4.14 crores in the United Kingdom. However, he also mentioned that the reports from some of the screens were yet to come.
While speaking about the movie’s box-office collection in Malaysia and New Zealand, he said that the movie is performing well in international markets. According to Adarsh, Bigil only had a limited release in New Zealand, yet its one-week box office collection in the country is around ₹ 9.24 lakhs. However, the movie made a whopping ₹ 6.76 crores collection in Malaysia. He also stated that the figures are from only those screens who have reported.
Bigil is a sports drama that revolves around strong emotional feelings such as heartbreaks and vengeance. Bigil is directed and written by Atlee Kumar. Apart from Vijay, the movie stars Nayanthara and Jackie Shroff. The movie was released on October 25, 2019, and it reportedly screened in 4000 screens across India, with almost 90% occupancy.
